Meet The Chew’s Co-Hosts

Carla Hall

Co-Host, ABC’s The Chew

Prior to The Chew, Carla was best known as a competitor on Bravo’s Top Chef, where she won over audiences with her fun catch phrase, “Hootie hoo,” and her philosophy to always cook with love. Carla’s approach to cooking blends her classic French training and Southern upbringing for a twist on traditional favorites.

Clinton Kelly

Co-Host, ABC’s The Chew

Clinton is well known for hosting TLC’s wildly popular makeover show What Not to Wear for ten years. He is also the author of five books, including his most recent compilation of personal essays, I Hate Everyone, Except You. He is a contributing editor for Woman’s Day and designs a clothing line for QVC called Kelly by Clinton Kelly.

Michael Symon

Co-Host, ABC’s The Chew

Chef Symon cooks with soul. Growing up in a Greek and Sicilian family, he creates boldly flavored, deeply satisfying dishes at his more than 18 restaurants. In addition to co-hosting The Chew, he also shares his cooking style with viewers as an Iron Chef on the Food Network.

James Briscione

Director of Culinary Research

Chef James is an expert in modernist cooking techniques. He is known for becoming the first-ever two-time Chopped champion. He also worked as sous chef in Daniel Boulud’s private dining room at Daniel.

Michael Laiskonis

Creative Director

Chef Michael is one of the industry’s most talented pastry chefs. As Executive Pastry Chef for eight years, he helped Le Bernardin earn four stars from The New York Times and three Michelin stars.

Bill Telepan

Director of Sustainability

Chef Bill is currently the executive chef of NYC’s Oceana and Wellness in the Schools, a non-profit devoted to healthy eating. His Michelin-starred restaurant Telepan was a forerunner in farm-to-table cooking.

Andrea Tutunjian

Director of Education and Dean of Pastry & Baking Arts

Chef Andrea has worked in the pastry kitchens of Le Cirque and the Rainbow Room, and co-authored In a Nutshell: Cooking and Baking with Nuts and Seeds.

Anthony Caporale

Director of Beverage Studies

Anthony has been a professional bar instructor and bar chef for two decades. He is the Producer and Host of Art of the Drink TV, a leading cocktail web show with milions of viewers worldwide and over 75 award-winning episodes.

Sim Cass

Dean of Professional Bread Baking

Chef Sim is the founding baker of Balthazar Bakery and has also worked as Head Baker at Lucky Strike in New York. Chef Sim serves as a bread consultant for some of the world’s most respected restaurants and bakeries.

Michael Garrett


Chef Michael spent 15 years in the kitchens of such iconic New York restaurants as Marcus Samuelsson’s Aquavit and Red Rooster, where he worked as Executive Chef before joining the team at ICE.

Sabrina Sexton

Director of Culinary Arts

An ICE graduate, Chef Sabrina earned her stripes at acclaimed NYC restaurants Chanterelle and Gramercy Tavern, where she rose through the ranks to Tavern Chef.
