Hugh Mangum

Meet the International Culinary Center alum.

Born to a father from Texas and a mother from the Bronx, Hugh Mangum grew up among the diverse food culture of Los Angeles, but always found the best barbecue in his backyard, prepared by his father.

Honoring an inheritance he received after the passing of his father, Hugh Mangum graduated from New York’s French Culinary Institute (now ICC) in 2001. In 2011, Mangum took his passion to the next level as Co-Founder and Pit Master for Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque which defines a distinct brand of New York-style barbecue that slots neatly into the fast-casual industry.

Hugh Mangum graduated from the International Culinary Center (ICC), founded as The French Culinary Institute (FCI). In 2020, ICE and ICC came together on one strong and dynamic national platform at ICE's campuses in New York City and Los Angeles. ICC’s culinary education legacy lives on at ICE, where you can explore your own future in food.
