Biography

Robert Warman has a bachelor's of science economics from DePaul University and nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

He began as a general manager at Ritz-Carlton's in Atlanta; Arlington, Virginia; and Cleveland, before he was promoted to executive vice president of real estate. He went on to oversee 48 hotels in four continents as executive vice president of operations, maintaining a consistent standard across all properties.

In 2001, he transitioned to Capella Hotel Group, serving as the president and global COO and co-chairman of the board, overseeing 24 new development deals and leading the executive team to establish the company's mission and vision. He oversaw the design and layout of five new Capella hotels and established brand standards for the Capella and Solis groups.

In 2014, Robert became the chief executive officer of Langham Hotel Group in Hong Kong, leading expansion and establishing key partnerships with China's national companies. He oversaw 20 hotels, added 25 new development projects and introduced new service positioning and leadership direction. During his tenure, customer satisfaction increased by 26% and employee satisfaction improved by 15%.

In 2019, he began teaching at the Institute of Culinary Education's New York campus. Robert shares his extensive expertise with aspiring hospitality and hotel management professionals.
