Biography

A native of Callao, a port city located outside of Lima, Peru, Chef Ozmar Heredia has over 15 years of experience working the line, starting out as a kitchen assistant at Manos Criollas in Lima. Chef Ozmar moved stateside in March of 2010, first landing in Los Angeles and ultimately New York, where he worked in revered restaurants including Tom Colicchio’s Craft, as well as Erik Ramirez’s Llama Inn and Llama San. Now a Culinary Arts and Recreational Chef-Instructor at ICE, Chef Ozmar is excited to share his passion about his career and why it can be very rewarding. In his free time, you’ll find him eating out and trying different cuisines with his friends and family.
