On the Line with Oxalis's Nico Russell

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Chef Nico Russell discovered a love of food at a young age. His interest in fine dining led him to working in storied kitchens all over the world including two-Michelin-starred restaurant Daniel (New York), three-Michelin-starred Mirazur (Menton, France) and one-Michelin-starred Chez TJ (Mountain View, CA).

Now the Executive Chef and Co-Owner of one-Michelin-starred Oxalis in Brooklyn's Crown Heights neighborhood, his menu highlights hyper-seasonal ingredients interpreted through the lens of his cooking experiences around the world. Chef Nico is also the Co-Owner of Place des Fêtes, a European-style wine bar focusing on local and sustainable seafood in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
