Biography

Chef Vladimir Vaynkhadler brings more than 15 years of professional culinary experience to the classroom, with a career spanning New York City and Austin, Texas. Born in Ukraine and raised in Brooklyn, he developed an early appreciation for food as a craft that connects culture, technique, and community. He earned his associate degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park.

 Chef Vlad’s background includes fine dining, artisanal production, high-volume restaurants, catering, and culinary education. His professional experience includes Olives at the W Hotel and Murray’s Cheese in New York, as well as Bonhomie and the acclaimed Salt & Time Salumeria in Austin—frequently recognized among the country’s top restaurants and butcher shops. In Texas, he refined his approach to fire-driven cooking while contributing to restaurant openings, menu development, and team mentorship.

 Prior to joining ICE, Chef Vlad served as a culinary instructor at Hudson Table in Brooklyn, where he led more than 200 hands-on classes and designed globally inspired menus for public and private events. Known for his engaging teaching style and precision-focused approach, he excels at working with cooks at every stage, from beginners to seasoned professionals.

 Chef Vlad joined the Institute of Culinary Education’s New York campus in 2025, where he teaches in the Professional Culinary Arts program and recreational classes. He is passionate about mentorship and committed to helping students build strong fundamentals, creative confidence, and real-world kitchen skills.
