Biography

After graduating with a business degree from American University, Sarah Entwistle began her professional career in operations at Goldman Sach’s Salt Lake City office. It didn’t take long for Entwistle to realize it wasn’t for her. She tried again at a different company, but soon realized that her passion wasn’t finance – it was food.

In 2017, Entwistle returned to the east coast to commence ICE’s Culinary Arts program in New York City, where she was a student-contributor to the ICE blog. After completing her externship at Gramercy Tavern, she sought work that would merge her business background and culinary skills. She connected with a fellow ICE alum who worked at Blue Apron, where she secured a job in their test kitchen and was eventually named Culinary Manager.

From there, Entwistle spent time working at an agritourism farm in Tuscany, backpacking Italy and taking a seasonal role as a head chef in Costa Rica.

Entwistle currently holds the title of Chef Services Director at New York-based private chef company The Culinistas, whose clients include Gwyneth Paltrow, Dana Cownin (long-time editor-in-chief of Food & Wine magazine) and fellow ICE Alumni and Top Chef host, Gail Simmons. Entwistle is also a contributing writer to Eater.com and Tasting Table.
