The Institute of Culinary Education in New York runs the most successful private cooking and mixology event program in the nation.Cocktails and Mixology

If you like to entertain and are looking to learn more about cocktail making and tasting, a mixology event at ICE is the perfect choice!  Following a 90-minute hands on lesson focusing on the basics of mixology from the importance of using fresh juices, to how to make the perfect cocktail, to what tools to have on hand when setting up your bar at home. Your group will make and sample seven cocktails. Non-alcoholic variations can be provided.

• Trader Vic’s Mai Tai (rum, almond, lime, orange, pineapple)
• The Blue Hawaii (vodka, curacao, coconut rum, pineapple, lime)

ICE's two-hour wine, beer, whiskey or bourbon tasting events begin with a hearty cheese platter, served with an aperitif appropriate to your theme. Your instructor will then invite you to sit down for a tasting, focusing on how to evaluate for quality, taste, and style. Seven varieties will be sampled and discussed. Sample topics can include everything from Italian Wines or Champagne, to Microbrewery Beers.
