Fête du Printemps
Welcome in the warm weather with this enjoyable and enlightening tasting Fête. This social evening explores mixing and matching refreshing warm weather French wines with some tasty hors d'oeuvres, while exchanging observations with fellow classmates. ICE's resident sommelier guides the evening, exploring the wines, foods and pairings alike in a cocktail party atmosphere. Come on your own or with a group and join the informative fun! Wines will feature a collection of bright fruity spring and summer selections touring the major quality wine areas in France. Sparklers will include a Loire and an Alsatian rosé, a pair of crisp and fruity whites of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay for whites, contrasting rosés from Southern France and the Bordeaux, reds from the Bourgogne and Rhône, and a finale of off-dry choices. The hors d'oeuvres will consist of contrasting sets of goat and soft-ripened cheeses, fresh and smoked seafood items, summer sausages and other light nibbles, to experiment in pairing with the wine assortment
