Culinary Management Instructor
Kate Edwards graduated from the University of Massachusetts. She successfully managed top restaurants and food establishments, including Balthazar, Town and Per Se. Kate has served as a consultant for both large and small restaurants, quick serve and fine dining, free standing as well as those in hotels and resorts. Her clients include Le Cirque, il Buco, Brooklyn Fare, Brooklyn Wok Shop, Haven's Kitchen, The Bookbindery and the restaurants at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, The Essex House, The Plaza Hotel and Viceroy Anguilla among others. She has been teaching at ICE for five years.
When describing her culinary voice, she says, “I am passionate about people and service. People are at the heart of everything we do — we make food for people to consume and we rely on people to help us sell and make our product. All students come to ICE with passion and varying levels of experience. What I tell them all is that passion is the fuel to get them through the long hours and tough services. The experience will come but the passion is there to help you create your career and pursue your dreams.”
