A graduate of NYU’s theatre program, Tanya realized early on that she had a knack for creative pursuits and a passion for food. With a goal of opening her own restaurant, Tanya enrolled in ICE’s Culinary Arts and Culinary Management programs. From there, she gathered experience in various realms of the culinary industry — as a pastry chef at Maialino and as assistant pastry chef for Restaurant Associates in the Bank of America tower — until landing a gig as a restaurant manager of the acclaimed fast-casual burger restaurant Shake Shack. Since starting at Shake Shack, Tanya has climbed the ranks to director of training and development, a position she describes as “the coolest job in the world,”
