The Official Jets Cooking School - Tailgating Edition

jets%20logo_375x375.jpgJoin the New York Jets and the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) for a series of classes that will take your gameday dishes to the next level, whether you’re tailgating or home-gating!

Cook alongside Jets legends and players, and learn from ICE’s all-pro chefs. We've served up years of exciting and delicious experiences, and now in our fifth season, you can expect to really get in on the action with a new format that allows for even more hands-on cooking.

*Jets former and current player appearances as well as class dates, times and locations are all subject to change.

Wings and Beer Night

The ICE classrooms will get decked out in green as we gear up for the Jets to go head-to-head with New England. And what goes better with football than wings and beer? Learn to craft the ultimate wing bar – from beer-battered to naked to smothered – all from scratch alongside former Jets players: Erik Coleman & Eric Smith. Gift bags will include a 4 piece BBQ Set and a GOURMET 5” Cook’s Knife from Wusthof.

Down South Cooking

Bring out your inner Southerner as the Jets take on the Atlanta Falcons with lessons on crafting down-home-style dishes to warm you up. ICE chef instructors will teach you the secrets behind the perfect Southern feast. You’ll get the opportunity to cook (and eat!) these favorites and meet former Jets players Tony Richardson and Fred Baxter in the process! Gift bags will include a CLASSIC 2 piece  Extra Wide Set from Wusthof.

Kid and Parent Pizza-Making Class

  • Date: Saturday, December 2, 2017
  • Time: 10:30 AM
  • Location: Institute of Culinary Education
  • Cost: $95 per person

In this fun-focused class, kids, parents and Jets alumni –– Wesley Walker and Freeman McNeil –– will spend the day making and eating football-shaped pizza. You'll work together to make pizza dough and tomato sauce and use a variety of toppings to construct and bake: White Pizza; Cheese Pizza; Vegetable Pizza; Sausage Pizza; Spinach and Cheese Stromboli; and Nutella & Banana Pizza. *Limit 2 children per adult. All children and teens must be accompanied by an adult. Everybody attending class must be registered. Gift bags will include a GOURMET 5” Spreader and a 7” CLASSIC Santoku from Wusthof.

New Orleans Style Boozy Brunch

In anticipation of the Jets heading down to the bayou, we are cooking a Nola-inspired brunch by adapting some of New Orleans' greatest hits into brilliant, brunch favorites alongside Jets legends Ray Lucas and Willie Colon. The meal almost requires a jazz soundtrack to go with it! We'll invoke the spirit of the Big Easy for this delicious morning feast. Plus learn to craft the perfect brunch cocktails, including a Bloody Mary and a Ramos Gin Fizz. Gift bags will include a 5 piece Kitchen Tool Set and a CLASSIC 4 1/2” Artisan Utility Knife from Wusthof.

Super Saturday Party

  • Cost: $165 per person

Celebrate the culmination of the season by taking your big game festivities to the next level. Learn how to whip up the ultimate party and entertaining recipes like: Honey Mustard-Brined Chicken Sandwich with Homemade Pickles and “Pups” with Smoky Chili Dipping Sauce. Finish the meal off with some tasty Apple Turnovers with Bourbon and Chocolate. You’ll craft these alongside current Jets players Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Buster Skrine, as well as Jets legends Bruce Harper and Bobby Jackson, in celebration of the biggest day of the football season for a Super Saturday Party at the MetLife Stadium. Gift bags will include a 4 piece Burger Knife Set and a 8” GOURMET Vegetable Knife from Wusthof.
