Faith Drobbin was working on an M.F.A. in ceramics at the Art Institute of Chicago when she began working in the pastry industry. She began work as a baker’s assistant at the Art Institute of Chicago where she studied with the instructors and learned about the art and craft of pastry.
After deciding pastry was her calling, she worked at Lettuce Entertain You and Luna Park Café before opening her own bakery, Faith’s Bakery. Faith's provided cakes to Dean & DeLuca, as well as numerous fine restaurants in the New York City area.
Faith describes her culinary voice as a focus on “fresh ingredients, tastes that are bright and visually appealing, and easy-to-follow recipes.” As a chef-instructor at ICE, she believes that her role is to demystify baking and help her students learn that anything is possible with hard work.
