Vincent (Vinny) Milburn’s great-great-grandfather founded wholesale fish enterprise, the John Nagle Company, in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in the 1880s. Vinny worked for the company in Boston while attending law school, learning all the aspects of the commercial fish industry and developing expertise in procuring high-quality, sustainable seafood for upscale restaurants all over New England. As the company’s seafood purchaser and head of wholesale operations, Vinny’s industry contacts and experience would be invaluable when he opened Greenpoint Fish & Lobster — a raw bar, restaurant and retail seafood market — in Brooklyn in 2014, plus a wholesale market in Queens in 2015. He'll share the stories of opening these businesses, along with seafood and sustainability specialization.
