Jeff Katz grew up in the Boston area and was working in Italian restaurants by age 15. He studied marketing and entrepreneurship at Babson College before working in wine sales and hospitality in New York City. Jeff returned to restaurants with a manager position at Del Posto, where he was promoted to general manager in 2009, leading the restaurant to a four-star review from The New York Times, the 2013 James Beard Award for Outstanding Service, Forbes Five Star recognition, the Five Diamond Award from AAA, and Relais & Chateaux membership. Jeff has overseen business operations as Del Posto's Managing Director since 2015 and collaborated with Eleven Madison Park alum, Chef James Kent to open Crown Shy in the Financial District in March. He'll share his expertise on award-winning restaurant management and his recent experience opening an independent concept with students.
