Biography

Chef Myint was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and spent a majority of his childhood climbing 100-pound rice bags at his parents' restaurant and market, and traveling to Southeast Asia for summer breaks. Arnold toured as a competitive and professional ice skater and soon after, attended the Institute of Culinary Education in 2003. He worked in Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s culinary empire before returning to Nashville, where he is a chef, owner and/or partner at three restaurants, a mixologist and a corporate consultant. His work continues to be recognized on a national level as reflected in publications such as GQ Magazine, Epicurious, USA TODAY and Eater. He has competed on the Emmy Award-winning television program "Top Chef," and most recently appeared on "Food Network Star" season 11, guest judges on multiple cooking shows on Food Network and Cooking Channel (including "Chopped Junior"), and regularly appears on daytime ABC and CMT lifestyle show "Pickler & Ben".

Arnold has cooked at the James Beard House in New York City and toured as a culinary ambassador for the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Now in Los Angeles, Arnold has a web series called "Hint of Myint," and is active involved with food pop-ups, hosting and cooking for events with DTLA Dinner Club, a community builder for residents in Downtown Los Angeles.

Arnold also has an alter ego: Suzy Wong, a marketing character and female persona often seen out at social events or in the media as a philanthropic domestic diva.
