Chef Michael Cimarusti, Executive Chef/Owner, Providence, Connie & Ted’s, Best Girl:
Executive Chef and Restaurateur Michael Cimarusti champions seafood and sustainability at his four renowned restaurants. Chef Michael graduated from the Culinary Institute of America with honors and went on to work at with Chef Larry Forgione at An American Place in New York City, where he met Pastry Chef Cristina Echiverri, who is now his wife and business partner.In the following years, he worked at iconic Le Cirque and opened Osteria del Circo, with experience at Arpège and La Marée in France in between. Chef Michael came to L.A. to work for Wolfgang Puck as chef de cuisine at the original Spago, followed by six years at Water Grill, where he earned acclaim for his approach to seafood. Today, Cimarusti, Echiverri and Co-Owner/General Manager Donato Poto operate four L.A. dining destinations, including Providence, Connie & Ted’s, Best Girl and Il Pesce Cucina. He’ll speak about his career path from chef to chef-partner and what it takes to make L.A. restaurants successful.
