Chef Santoro joined the iconic hotel in 2018 and oversees the property’s entire culinary operation, including the legendary Polo Lounge, Fountain Coffee Room, The Cabana Café, Bar Nineteen12, in-room dining, and banquets and events. He'll provide insight into the most popular dishes, including the classic McCarthy Salad, and shed light on what it is like to run the kitchen at a world-famous luxury hotel property.

More about Chef Michael Santoro:

Chef Santoro was the executive chef of the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C., following its reopening after an extensive renovation in 2016. Previously, he was the executive chef at New York City’s Andaz 5th Avenue. Throughout his 15-year culinary career, Chef Santoro worked at Blue Duck Tavern in D.C., Boqueria and Gilt in NYC, and The Mildred in Pennsylvania. He also spent time at two-Michelin-starred Mugaritz in San Sebastian, Spain, and three-Michelin-starred Fat Duck in the UK. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Chef Santoro earned a bachelor of science degree in Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales in Rhode Island and attended Cleveland State University. ​
