Zeina Elali is Director of Admissions at Institute of Culinary Education Los Angeles

Director of Admissions

An avid traveler who speaks multiple languages, Zeina has a life-long interest in learning about other cultures and trying cuisines from around the globe. This, combined with her passion for creative arts, fueled her decision to join the Institute of Culinary Education team. Zeina's work in the education sector spans more than 15 years, during which she held various leadership roles from Director of Admissions and Director of Career Services to Campus President. After growing up in an environment where education was valued and highly encouraged, she found it her calling to continue spreading that message through encouraging others to follow their passions and pursue their educational endeavors. Over the years, Zeina has supported countless students in reaching their full potential through higher education. At the Institute of Culinary Education, she is able to continue her commitment to helping others build the educational foundation that will enrich their lives and allow them to find their culinary voice, one student at a time.

Eno Inwek is a foodie with a passion for all things artistic. Eno has a passion for helping creative people with steps they need to be deliberate about mapping out their careers. With over 15 years’ worth of experience in her own consulting business,  She has a passion for small business and entrepreneurship. ICE –LA is a place where she has been able to  combine her love for the Arts and passion for business, while helping those looking to create the culinary life, they love.

Born and raised in Southern California, Michael Acuna found his passion for cooking and having others enjoy his meals at a young age. In high school, he joined the Culinary Academy and from that moment on, he solidified his career path. Being in the kitchen is where he felt he belonged. After graduating from culinary school he pursued his career in culinary arts. Now, as part of the admissions team at ICE, he is able to help guide students pursue the path to follow their dreams in the culinary industry.

Jeff Haines might as well have been born with a whisk in one hand and a spatula in the other. Growing up in a tight-knit family who loved food, it was no surprise that the pastry kitchen would be where he found his calling. After graduating Culinary school in 2007, Jeff worked his way around some of the top restaurants in Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Pasadena and Santa Barbara. With over 12 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, Jeff comes to ICE excited to share his experiences and knowledge of the industry and will always recommend for people to eat dessert first.

Born and raised in Los Angeles to a multicultural family, Mallory grew up in an environment that not only fostered creativity, but encouraged personal growth and independence from a young age. She was in the kitchen cooking and baking either on her own or with her family as often as possible. Eventually, her love of all things creative and all things sweet led her to a career in cake decorating and pastry. Now at ICE, Mallory aims to encourage students to follow and foster their own passion and creativity for the culinary field. It doesn’t get much sweeter than that!

Diehard Texan that fell into the Restaurant and Hospitality industry after college. Being creatively driven herself, Cecily feeds off of ICE students’ ambitious Culinary goals dreams and provides them with individual blueprints on how to obtain them and more. By combining her seven years of restaurant experience and creative thinking skills, Cecily helps ICE Students develop a career trajectory and broadens their minds to the various career opportunities within the Culinary industry. Whether animal or plant-based, no one on earth can survive without food. So put on your Chef coat and sharpen your Chef knives, because the Culinary world is waiting on you!
