Gabriela Arzate

Gabriela Arzate

Campus Director of Admissions

Gabriela Arzate has more than 15 years of experience in education, from financial aid to business operations and student resources. She previously directed admissions at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and worked as an admissions manager and assistant director at American Career College. Gabriela studied business management at the University of Phoenix.

Born and raised in Southern California, Michael Acuna found his passion for cooking and having others enjoy his meals at a young age. In high school, he joined the Culinary Academy and from that moment on, he solidified his career path. Being in the kitchen is where he felt he belonged. After graduating from culinary school, he pursued his career in culinary arts. Now, as part of the admissions team at ICE, he is able to help students pursue the path to follow their dreams in the culinary industry.

Jeff Haines

Admissions Representative

Jeff Haines might as well have been born with a whisk in one hand and a spatula in the other. Growing up in a tight-knit family that loved food, it was no surprise that the pastry kitchen would be where he found his calling. After graduating culinary school in 2007, Jeff worked his way around some of the top restaurants in Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Pasadena and Santa Barbara. With over 12 years of experience as a pastry chef, Jeff comes to ICE excited to share his experiences and knowledge of the industry and will always recommend eating dessert first.

Veronica Lozada came to the Institute of Culinary Education with admissions experience from UEI College and Glendale Career College. She's worked in the food and beverage industry with Nesquik and Miller Coors.
