Biography

After nearly a decade in the legal industry, Chef Eric McIntyre returned to school for Culinary Arts here at the Institute of Culinary Education. Graduating in 2002, he went on to work as a pastry cook at Eleven Madison Park Restaurant until 2005. 

In 2006, Chef Eric founded Tip of the Tongue Catering, serving events for up to 500 people. By 2013, he had expanded his business into the Tip of the Tongue Café, where he was involved in restaurant management, hiring and training. 

With the success of his businesses, Chef Eric began teaching bread-baking classes at Le Pain Quotidien. A year later, he returned to the restaurant industry as Pastry Sous-Chef at the Facebook pastry kitchens, where he created menus, managed cooks, and drafted production schedules. In 2017, he also took a part-time position as a Chef-Instructor at Atelier Sucre, teaching French pastry classes. 

In 2022, Chef Eric joined ICE full-time as a Pastry and Baking Chef-Instructor, where he now teaches various career baking courses.
