Chef Kathryn, co-author of Les Petits Macarons and organizer of the hands-on Culinary and Baking program in the Loire Valley, will teach the fundamentals of cooking sugar for showpieces, and how to "cast" sugar in a variety of elements (vinyl, silicon, sugar, clay) to create the infrastructure for a Halloween themed showpiece (with a witch's hat, ghost, air brushed Indian corn, and pumpkin). She will also show you the more advanced technique of pulling sugar and create fall leaves and colorful ribbon, before showing you how to "glue" your creation together.Transportation and storage will also be discussed.
