Joe Campanale, Beverage Director/Owner of dell'anima, L'Artusi, L'Apicio and Anfora restaurants in New York City will lead you on an exciting tour of early American cocktails from their beginnings in the 1850s until prohibition in 1919. This time period is when the cocktail as we know it was born and is the basis for the current mixology resurgence. Join Joe as you create and taste these classic drinks and learn about the history of the American cocktail. You will stir, shake, and sample: Brandy Punch; Whiskey Sour; Champagne Cobbler; Prescription Julep; Manhattan and a Martinez.
