The American Friends of Rabin Medical Center awarded their Most Innovative Real Estate and Finance Deal of the Year Award to the Institute of Culinary Education for our upcoming move to Brookfield Place at 225 Liberty Street, NYC.
In the winter of 2014-2015, the Institute of Culinary Education will make an extraordinary move to lower Manhattan. The new modern facility will feature more kitchens and event spaces, plus a mixology lab, wine room, charcuterie room, hydroponic garden, chocolate lab and more. It will truly be unique among culinary schools in its diverse and exclusive offerings. ICE has always been committed to helping the culinary community and its students "find their culinary voices" and the new school will enhance that goal by providing a new, state-of-the-art facility.
Brookfield Place (formerly known as The World Financial Center) is attracting a wide range of companies and retailers. The list of recently signed tenants includes Time Publishing (Food and Wine, People, Sports Illustrated and more), Bank of New York and American Express and retailers Saks Fifth Avenue, Burberry and Ferragamo. In the culinary and dining area, Brookfield Place will include Le District, Hudson Eats and four chef-driven independent restaurants.
