Part science. Part craft. Cake Tailor Lauri Ditunno of New York City’s Cake Alchemy will combine elegant chemistry by fusing flavor, design, and ambience to create edible sculptures. Students will learn Lauri’s cake carving and decorating techniques to create two original cake designs, she created exclusively for her CAPS class: a pug in a cherry pie and a unique structure – to be unveiled at the class! Pastry chef, Lauri Ditunno, is the owner of Cake Alchemy. She is inspired by fashion and beauty, and creates cakes that are works of art from the inside out. She’s been featured on WE TV’s Amazing Wedding Cakes, the Food Network Challenge, and numerous wedding publications for her talents as one of New York’s finest pastry artists.
